Harrison- Week 42

** This week we took the photo at Great Grandma and Grandpa's with her 80+ year old teddy bear **
This week Harrison had some major firsts!!
To start the week, we set out for Great Grandma and great Grandma's farm in western Minnesota. They had not seen Harrison since July, so it was a much overdue visit!

Then, Harry spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Blom's house this week. On Sunday night, we were up every two hours with a CRANKY teething boy. Grandma and Grandpa offered to take him for Monday night (since she was watching him Tuesday anyways) and we took them up the offer for him to spend his first night away from us!! He was a champ- only waking up once to eat for Grandma. I think it is because he was so tired from the night before (and he plays really hard at their house with all the toys he hasn't seen in a while).

Harrison had been sleeping really well in his pack and play while overnight at other places, so Bryan and I decided to give that a go at home. He slept better, going 8 or 9 hours before waking up. We also added a fan for noise/air movement. I am not sure if Harrison really likes his pack and play that much more, or if it is just the change of scenery/mattress firmness that he enjoys. WHO KNOWS!!! This whole sleep thing is a mystery to me :)

Other news this week- Harrison started to walk behind his "walking toy". We call it his lawn mower, but I am not sure of the technical term. It is amazing to watch him explore, but it is also somewhat hysterical. Infants learning to walk generally look like drunken adults, but then you add the whole steering something aspect! One good thing about his new modes of transportation, Harry is learning to fall gracefully/dust himself off and keep going. I feel that this will be a vital skill for him to have later in life!

Story on the overalls- My grandpa farmed for most of my childhood. He wore railroad Osh Kosh overalls for as long as I can remember. I figured that Harrison should bring a pair with to show him.

All babies get a bath in this sink...myself included in 1981/1982!

Harrison has an unreal obsession with shoes. This was his favorite toy at the farm.

Getting marked on the height wall.

Eatin' his peaches and graham crackers. Rosie has decided that the best chance for table scraps will come from Harrison.

Playing the piano for the first time.

Harrison is starting to become interested in books. However, any books that we leave him alone with must be inedible (eating bits of cardboard books is still a favorite hobby).
