We planned a Duluth trip for the end of June well before we knew that Bryan would be in California. We decided to take the trip in his absence, but it was a good distraction for us all, as he had been gone for 3+ weeks solid at that point.
The first day, we went to Children's Day at Split Rock Light House.
Then, we waited for the train. Only to be told that the train didn't come that day. There were some pretty bummed out little boys when they heard that. Truthfully, there were some bummed out grown-ups, too.
We went to Canal Park, instead.
We went to throw rocks on the windy shore at Grand Marais after a day of shopping and some yummy pizza at Sven and Ole's PIzza.
