Silas CAN'T GET ENOUGH of his big brother. Any time we need to distract him, we have Harry entertain him. Anytime we need him to move from where he is taking up temporary residence, if Harry stands in front of him and tells him to come (similar to a dog) he crawls SO FAST to get to him, or the toys he is playing with. Most of the time, Harry loves this. I can, however, see where one toy that both would like to have could become a problem in matter of months.
We are ALWAYS telling Harrison to be kind to his little brother (and 98% of the time his is), and we tease that he could grow up to be the bigger "little" brother. When we went for his 9 month appointment, that was verified. Silas is in the 99th percentile for height, whereas Harrison was only in the 75th percentile for height at this age. Here were his 9 month stats:
There is one more thing that Silas cannot get enough of- MUSIC! He loves to listen to music, and has even started to dance to music a little, too. We put a CD player in his room, because he is always crawling to Harrison's room to turn on his CD player to listen to the music.
Week 41- December 10th- 16th: Finally getting over SQUIRMING AROUND LIKE CRAZY to get his diaper changed. However, I think that he has gotten over that because he is so much more mobile all the other minutes of the day.
He can crawl- SO FAST, and has perfected standing up and sitting down without a giant PLOP. He is starting to stand up more and walk around things, but he is much more happy to crawl at this point.
Hanging on the couch with dad.
New favorite restaurant- CHIPOTLE!
Hanging out at Harrison's Christmas program at church :)
