Caroline- 47 and 48 Weeks

Week 47- September 14th-20th
Week 48- September 21st-27th

Sweet Girl! She has so much spunk and determination, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It does, however, make things like doing her hair and getting her dressed (when she doesn't think it is the right time) interesting.

Her determination has also gotten her into some mischief. Here are her highlights for the past couple weeks:
- Climbing up 3 stairs
- Pulling cords out of the wall
- Testing the basement door to go downstairs
- Checking the toddler potty for liquid
- Rolling over when getting her diaper changed
- Climbing up on the brick by the fireplace

The biggest change this week is that Caroline moved to her own room. It took her a few nights to get used to not having mom and dad 5 steps away, but lets be honest, we are still only something like 25 steps. All these little steps are helping her become even more independent.

The thing I still love is that even in her independence, she will find her mama (or daddy) in any room and demand our attention/snuggles.

Caroline- 46 Weeks

September 7th- 13th

This baby is OBSESSED with her babies! Right now she has 2 small ones, but I suspect this will be a big item on her birthday wish list. She is very gentle with them, and she loves to point out their eyes and nose. She can even say "baby", which I believe is officially her first word.

She is moving more! She is pulling up on things, and can go from sitting to crawling, in no time- FLAT! She is fast, when she moves, and is a super fast army-crawling blondie.

Speaking of her blonde hair, I figured out that we can put her hair in a pony tail this week. Our friend, Heidi, and her daughters call the little pony on top-middle of  the head a whale spout. Caroline's is stick straight, so it is a little more like a blow torch.

She is getting annoyed with being in her crib when she is not sleeping, and I think she is hearing us more at night, so I think a move-out to her own room will be happening soon.

Playing with EVERYTHING at the Transportation Museum. Including puting EVERYTHING in her mouth!

Caroline- 45 Weeks

August 31st- September 6th

Caroline has a week of LOVES and HATES! She is proving herself a force to be reckoned with, and definitely has her own strong opinions about almost everything. Here is the run current down:

LOVE:
- Banana's
- Yogurt
- Anything she can feed HERSELF
- Dad
- Mom
- Morning naps

HATES:
- Tooth brushing
- Anybody who is NOT Mom or Dad
- Snuggling
- Sleeping all night

Otherwise, not much new this week. Grandma and grandpa Blom were here, so she enjoyed adventures with them (after she decided that they were OK on the stranger scale).

Caroline- 44 Weeks

Waving "bye bye" in these pictures!

August 24th -30th

This week Miss Caroline is back at Miss Amy's daycare full time, which for her is 1 day per week. She is going through a phase of separation anxiety, which we know is just a phase, and we hope that it is over soon!! The people at the church nursery and MOPS hope so, too. She, however, was just peachy for Miss Amy!

Caroline definitely knows the names and sounds for each of her favorite things. She can't say them, but she knows when you do. If you say the word "Baby" she knows what it is and where to find it. It is her FAVORITE toy, after all! She also knows the sounds of her formula maker, or her bath tub running a bath. She also knows when you hide something from her, watches where you put it, and then cannot/will not forget about it.

This "little" girl is now wearing 18 month clothing. She was squeezing into some 12 month, but that time has passed. So, I packed away yet one more sign of my last baby growing up.
