Silas- Week 33

October 15th- 21st: Silas has more teeth coming in!! Tooth #5 has pushed through and #6 is close! We can also see tooth #7 and tooth #8 working their way through. All of these teeth call for more real food meals. Over MEA, when I am home more, I decided to start Silas on eating three formula-free meals. He seems to care much less for formula during the day, and wants to eat all that he can at night.

Finally getting over his cold, and seems to be happier and healthier. He was always a happy baby, but now he is a super-happy baby!!

Funny This Week:
Since Silas learned to sit up, he has been struggling to learn how to lay back down from sitting. He sat for over an hour crying in his crib, no SCREAMING. He was so over tired, we could have put him down 100 times and he would have hat up. He finally fell asleep, folded in half, from sitting, up. Such a silly napper!

So many good pictures this week, I couldn't pick just one!

"Mom, I m NOT listening to you!" And... it is time to move my crib mattress down!

See..he CAN (sorta) crawl. But now that he can sit up, he would rather go a step or two and sit up. People say it takes more balance to sit up from his tummy than to crawl. He just likes to do things in his own time.

I can remember Harrison playing about the same... Sitting on the floor with his basket full of toys!

Sometimes, just sometimes, big brother will play with Silas. It is more common, however, at this age, for them to just be in the same room :)

Silas- Week 31 and Week 32

Week 31-October 1st- 7th & Week 32- October 8th-14th: HAPPY FALL!!! This week was conferences for me, so a lot of time away. AND... a second medication for his ear infection, after the first 10 days seemed to not work. Hopefully this one will work.

He is STILL so close to crawling and will even get "stuck" on all fours in his crib and cry for help :) He continues to love tummy time, which I think comes from doing physical therapy for his Torticollis. He can scootch/army crawl a little, but just prefers to be on his stomach. The biggest news this week...We officially have a SITTER!!! Silas is sitting up on his own for about 15-20 seconds at a time. It took us a while to notice his improved sitting skills, because he wants to be on his tummy most.

We noticed this week top tooth in the middle is looking SO SORE!!!I even took a picture to document it... poor baby. He has had his moments of whining over it, but he has been a trooper for the most part. He is just so happy to be where everyone is. He has yet to develop any kind of stranger anxiety, so I hope that continues along with his bubbly personality.

Big brother helped to "shower" Silas with leaves :)

Harrison- First Day of PreK

Harrison started PreK this year at my school in Bright Start. He is currently going 2 full days per week, but will go 3 days per week for the second half of the year. He was all smiles, and was SO glad to see Gavin (who he had a few play dates with this summer) at school. I can't believe his first day of school is already over.
There have been so many new firsts, even at school. First time having school lunch, and eating in a cafeteria. First time sharing the "all about me" bag. First time making a new friend. Soon, his first field trip. Where has the time gone??

The best part... He can sneak by to wave through the window at me :)

The cutest little cubbies :)

Silas- Week 30

September 24- 30th: Silas is such a happy kid, and such a good sleeper, but an ear infection will change that all :( He is getting over his first ear infection, but in getting over that ear infection he has learned some awful habits (not sleeping and whining to name a few)! To make matters worse, tooth #5 and tooth #6 are working on coming in on top! This poor baby (and his parents) may never sleep all night again (or at least for a while).

He really LOVES all foods, so it will be interesting to see if that continues to be the norm! He has not turned away from anything that we have asked him to try. He is still only having two meals with baby food, and puffs. If he continues to love food this much, we will have to add lunch to the mix.

We traded Silas' excersaucer in for a bouncing jumapoo. He seems to be so much more happy when he is jumping!! Harrison was never a fan of the jumping, so we are getting out our doorway jumper and other toys that bounce.

Silas laughs at Harry all the time, and wants to be where he is. It is SO much better when Harry agrees to hang out in Silas' room (then we don't have to worry about what he would eat in Harrison's room).
