Harrison- Week 32- MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

This week the news is really that Harrison celebrated his first Christmas. I will narrate through the pictures!

So much fun to play with different toys at Grandma and Grandpa's.

You can't be tired yet, we haven't opened your presents!!

Very appropriate- Race cars from uncle Eric!

Tutti!
And bath squirters too! Grandma and Grandpa helped to further Harrison's early obsession with Yo Gabba Gabba.

"Dad, you can't sleep with Tutti, she is MINE!!!" Look at that snarl!!!

We started out on Christmas Eve at Jill's parents with great-aunt Sandy and uncle Eric. It was calm and relaxing, so calm, actually, that Harry got tired right after dinner, opened a few presents and went to bed. Then, we all celebrated a "big kids" Christmas.

At our house, Harrison got to pick the first gift.

Not all that surprising, bows were far too exciting!

Harrison picked a gift for Daddy first.

SCOUT!!

LOVES the boxes. Not so much the clothes inside. However, I think he will appreciate the two- outfits- at- Christmas tradition when he is older :)

Yo Gabba Gabba!

We spent the first 4 or 5 hours of Christmas morning attending to a sick little boy. He just did not feel good. So, once the Tylenol kicked in, mom and dad snuggled him, and he would finally eat some food, he started to feel like opening some presents (or at least mom and dad did). Come to find, the next day at the doctor, that he had a bad cold and his top front teeth coming in. No Wonder! All he wanted for Christmas was his TOP two front teeth!!!

Christmas night we invited Grandma and Grandpa Gregory over for dinner and some time with Harrison, since he was feeling a little better.

Finally, aunt Erin Jane gave Harrison a Sing-a-ma-jig for Christmas (which has been a favorite of everyone in the family). This is the "mom, am I a macho enough for a pink toy" look. And the answer is obviously yes.

Harrison- Week 31

This week has been such a fun week!! I am sure I will continue to have a really fun couple of weeks, as I am home with Harry until January 3rd!

Harrison is getting REALLY squirmy! He would much rather play on the floor, or in his excersaucer, than be held. I knew it was coming...
He is still NOT interested in crawling, but can make his way from one end of the room to the other in no time in his own way. He can pull up, when you hold out your hands, into a standing position. So, it is only a matter of time, I fear, before he can pull up on many things in the house. We will be doing some baby-proofing over my winter break from school.

On Sunday, we met Bryan's cousins (in town for the famous Bears-Vikings game) with Harrison. He always enjoys meeting new relatives. We also went on a consignment shopping "mission" to get a better stroller for Grandma and Grandpa to have to use. We had purchased one before we were parents (and you value totally different things once you know about the human you are going to put in the stroller). I happened to be in the right place at the right time! I got a Bumbleride Flyer stroller for about 85% off (and it was in AMAZING condition). So, now we just have to decide which stroller will go where! Even better, I traded in the old stroller and got money back on that!

New Stroller!

Playing on the floor with Daddy and puppy paws= AWESOME!!

"Are those my books down there mom?"

Loves his books!
PUPPY LOVE!!!
One of his favorite books- Harry the Dirty Dog.

This is how he prefers to sit in his crib and play. I am constantly moving him back, but he always comes right back to feet through the front!

I put Harrison in his crib when to play when I take a shower now. Even though he can't crawl, he still gets into plenty of trouble when we are not around. Hopefully this will be 'safe' for a while!

Harrison- Week 30

The biggest news this week was the BLIZZARD!!! My last post has some pictures. It was wonderful to literally get snowed in, and snuggle up with my family!

The rest of the week was spent getting ready for Christmas. Harrison tried to help me wrap presents, but it was more time consuming to keep him from eating the wrapping paper than to wrap. So, I finished the wrapping while he slept. I also made some Christmas cookies and a few Christmas presents! All the while, Harry watched on and occasionally tried to eat anything he could get his hands on! Speaking of eating, Harry tried yogurt this week, and has started to watch EVERYTHING that goes into our mouths while we eat with his mouth gaping open. Hmmm...

We got together with Grandma and Grandpa Gregory, and Kevin, Erika and Jeremiah to celebrate November/December birthdays. We were supposed to celebrate aunt Holly, too, but the weather was too bad for them to get here from Rochester. The boys did what they are best at- dumping out the toy bin and "exchanging" toys with one another.

This week Harrison has been kneeling up on everything, but can't quite get to a standing position. He has also been talking up a storm! I love his little language, especially when I hear it in the morning as he is waking up in his crib. Still working on more teeth, but not any that have cut through the surface, yet.

"Oh, you're still here?"

Really NOT interested in sitting still. I am surprised that I got a good photo at all!

Harrison, Andon and Jeremiah at Aunt Erika's!

Playing with Perry penguin...
wait, can I play with the laundry basket?

Cousins at birthday celebration.

Sleepy boy. He LOVES to sleep on the side.

"Look, I am 'trying' to drink from a sippy."

Harrison started eating yogurt this week! YUMMY!!!

He is also trying puffs this week. Not very successful at getting them in his mouth, but still trying.

Since he could almost climb out, we moved his crib mattress down another level.

So happy to play with his toys and puppy!
