2.7 Years- September 26th- October 25th
FOOD
Not much new. He has a newfound love for peanut butter and jelly, and bananas. I am sure, though, that these things will be off his list of like by next month. That is how he rolls.
LODGING
Silas is sleeping wonderfully in the new house. He seems to have just moved from our old house to this house and he sleeps. As long as he has his start blanket, and his thumb. I am grateful that he is still such a good sleeper, considering little sister is here now to take over the role of bad sleeper (which Silas never really was, anyways).
TRANSPORTATION
The newest form of transportation that this little man has started to use in the past months in Missouri is SWIMMING! He had done a few toddler/parent swim lessons prior to us leaving MN, but with a pool in the neighborhood, I cant even tell you how much better he is at swimming from doing it almost daily for the past month.
He is getting more bold and brave, not only about swimming, but about playing outside and driving cars and trucks and trikes by himself. He is learning a lot from watching others in the neighborhood doing the same, and from the fast that I was too pregnant to run to his aid every time he thought he could not do anything. This bread confidence. Great side effect!
COMMUNICATION
Silas is still our thinker. He is starting to think quicker and react in some situations, but you can tell that he still thinks it through before he says anything. He likes to lay on the ground and watch how the wheels on his car will drive, not saying anything for 20 minutes, then he will come over and talk for 2 minutes straight about what is making the car move. So much like his dad in that way!
ENTERTAINMENT
He is still interested in cars. His favorite shows right now are Sherrif Callie's Wild West (specifically Sherrif Callie Wild West Train Show) and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (specifically Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Train Show). I think we may have a budding train enthusiast on our hands. We went to the Transportation Museum and explored the Creation Station, a room filled with train tables and other kids toys to explore. It is now a favorite request for an outing.
Another request is to MOPS. I joined Mothers of Preschoolers, and Silas has loved MOPPETS, the program for kids while I am in MOPS. The teachers are incredible, and he leaves with a new love for his both God and his new friends. So glad that he is plugging in to some new things, too.

Both grandparents were here for labor day. We were all excited to see everyone!
