State Fair 2014

We spent the day at the Minnesota State Fair with grandma, grandpa, and uncle Eric. Bryan has a "once-every-three-years" policy, so this was an off year for him :) The boys really had a great time, but all we did was entertain them. Next year, we will have to go a second day to experience the grown-up State Fair.

We took a break to listen to Tonic Sol Fa.

Visiting the John Deere stand!

Riding on the "Chair Lift'. Maybe we can go skiing this winter, after all!

Going on the rides!! Grandpa even went on the Ferris Wheel.

Visiting the OINK booth!!

We watched some draft horses unload from their semi.  It was pretty fun!

TOO COOL!!!

More rides :)

Silas- Week 27

Too many cute photos to choose just one this week!

September 3rd- 9th: Silas had his first full week at "Daycare." He is so laid back about everything, including hanging out somewhere else all day. He is spending more time with Carson, his cousin that is about 9 months older, and thinks that he is pretty awesome.

Sadly, I have been bringing home a bunch of germs and we ended the week with his first ear infection :( He has the EXACT same symptoms as Harrison with an ear infection, so that is good for diagnosing. It is, however, bad for sleep. Hopefully this cold/ear infection will clear up soon and life will return to a less sleep-deprived normal.

He is really into grabbing things and putting them in his mouth. Another characteristic that he shares with big brother. We have been taking out more of the "bigger baby" toys for him to try out. His favorite toy is still his brother. He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES when his brother is around... With his illness this week, we have found that watching his brother dance is the only way to get him to nebulize.

He is trying to get puffs into his mouth. He can pick them up, but is NOT successful as getting them unstuck from the palm of his hand and into his mouth. Baby steps.

 Mum-Mums, however, he has down.

Now that he can sit on his own, we will move on from the baby bathtub any day now. I had to get a few pictures before we put it away. Sniffle, sniffle...
