No mama, I do not want you to feed me yogurt. "I got it"

He just loves playing outside with daddy :)

The new park in our neighborhood has been a really big hit lately.

Silas- 17 Months and 18 months!!

July 26th-August 25th & August 26th- September 25th: Oh Silas! HE IS SO SASSY RIGHT NOW!! The sassy (whiny, cranky, ornery, etc...) really started after I went back to school/work. I think that it might be his way to protest that he is not a fan of this new schedule. Neither am I buddy, neither am I. If you had told me that I would be going to back to teaching this year, with all of the talk of jobs out of state, I would have never believed you. So, apparently, he is in disbelief, as well. All we can hope is that this is shot lived :)

Food:
He is back to eating almost anything. We do, sometimes, have to entice him (like by shoving a piece of food in his mouth when he is not expecting it) he usually likes what we entice him with. Favorites right now are: oranges, oranges, oranges... but the most important news is that he will eat, and actually likes bananas now!

Lodging:
Sleeping is better, but not perfect. We are just doomed to have bad sleepers, I fear. Our boys just REALLY want to see us a night. There are worse things than a 19-month old still not sleeping all night consistently, not many, but there are worse things.

Communication:
We have moved onto two word sentences, and he has started to announce things around him. He is especially concerned about who is home- "Mama home", "Dada home", "Bruddar home". He also tells me all about what is in his bed, or his room, when he wakes up. It is like he has been waiting all night (or since we partied at 3am) to talk to us.

Transportation:
We have been bringing his cozy coupe inside for him to roll around on the wood floors. He could spend hours opening and closing the door, finding things to use as keys in the ignition and rolling in and out of the kitchen over the threshold. He even spends time at "the drive in" watching movies/shows from Thanks, grandma Gayle, for coming up with this fantastic idea!

Entertainment:
SHOWS! He is finally into TV, so now we get the task of limiting the amount that he watches. His favorite, by far, is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. His new routine is waking up to milk the cows (around 5:30- with Bryan). Then, Bryan brings him down to snuggle in bed with me and watch Mickey Mouse on Disney Channel while I get ready for the day. I cherish the time with just him, but it is a little early for this mama to be 100% with it.

I had the first day of Kindergarten off, so I spent it with Silas. He was so excited when Harry got off the bus after school. I really think that he missed his big brother :)

Silas enjoyed watching Mickey Mouse during Harrison's soccer game... He wasn't that interested in watching the game ;)

Early morning at Chick-Fil-A!

Fun at the Minnesota Zoo!

One of our favorite things about bagels at Einstein Brothers is the fountain outside run around.

Silas was dreaming for Christmas at Costco- a WEE-OOO station.
